3.2 - Sea View Hotels, Hall & Theatre
William T. Pullen married Charlotte Hoy in 1855 (they had 12 children). They lived in Hill End where he had various gold mining ventures. They moved to the Clarence River area in 1877 where he owned stores. Then to Woolgoolga in 1884, where he built a sugar and timber mill and a "jetty-slide" on the beach that used bullocks to haul punts for transferring cargo to and from ships. He also built the Seaview hotel and shops which his children managed.

The erection of the Sea View Hotel had been proceeding most satisfactorily until Tuesday, when the carpenters went out on strike for higher wages. This is some- what incomprehensible, as the wages paid so far were in excess of those stipulated by the Industrial Court. Arrangements  have been completed to obtain other tradesman from Sydney.
